John Glenn International Airport

As part of John Glenn Airport’s One International Gateway Project, Structurflex designed, engineered, fabricated and installed a FlexFacade surface-mounted screening system for the facility’s existing parking garage. Composed of Type 1A ventilated PES mesh, the opacity of this parking garage screening allows natural ventilation screening views of cars and artificial light pollution. Tensile fabric was the perfect choice for cladding the pre-existing structure because of how quickly this system can be installed around the traffic of an international airport as well as being roughly 50% of the cost of a metal mesh.
